Measures for monitoring and early warning of water environment quality in the Yangtze River Basin (for Trial Implementation).

These Measures, consisting of 15 articles, are enacted to promote the water ecological protection work in the Yangtze River Basin.
The Ministry of Ecology and Environment is responsible for the monitoring and early warning of the water environment quality of the Yangtze River Basin, establishing and improving the national surface water environment quality monitoring and early warning system, organizing the monitoring and evaluation of the water environment quality of the Yangtze River Basin, and submitting to the relevant provincial people's governments notification on water quality status.
The Yangtze River Basin water quality monitoring and early warning levels shall be divided into two levels, namely, first and second levels, and the first level is the highest level.
