Abstract
These Measures are formulated to further promote the implementation of food safety responsibilities by food producers and business operators, regulate food production and business operation behavior, and prevent and resolve food safety risks.
These Shandong Province Food Production and Business Operation Responsibility Interview Measures aims to enhance the accountability of food producers and business operators regarding food safety. It establishes a standardized system for conducting responsibility interviews to prevent and mitigate food safety risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Measures outline specific circumstances under which food producers may be subject to responsibility interviews, including the discovery of systemic food safety risks through monitoring or reports, failure to rectify identified issues, repeated instances of non-compliance in product inspections, and inadequate handling of complaints. The interviews may be conducted collectively or individually, depending on the situation. The responsibility interview process involves notifying the interviewee of the issues and risks identified, allowing them to present their understanding and proposed corrective measures, and providing guidance on necessary actions to eliminate food safety hazards. The Measures also stipulate that all records related to the interviews and corrective actions must be maintained in the food safety credit archives of the enterprises.
