Abstract
These Measures are developed in accordance with the Food Safety Law, the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Law, the Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law, aiming at regulating the marketing of edible agricultural products and strengthening the supervision and administration of the marketing and quality and safety of edible agricultural products.
For the purpose of these Measures, “marketing of edible agricultural products” means the sales of edible agricultural products in fixed places such as centralized trading markets of edible agricultural products, shopping malls, supermarkets, and convenience stores, excluding the purchase of edible agricultural products.
The Measures provides for the food safety responsibilities of market operators and sellers, stipulating that market operators shall perform management obligations such as registration and filing of entry sellers, signing agreements, entry inspections, and sellers shall perform their responsibilities for purchase inspections, regular inspections, labeling information, etc.
