Abstract
These Measures are enacted in accordance with the Archives Law of the People's Republic of China, the Organic Law of the Villagers'Committee of the People's Republic of China, the Agriculture Law of the People's Republic of China, aiming to strengthen the work of rural archives, standardize the management of village-level archives and serve the rural work under the new situation.
Village-level organizations shall designate special persons to be responsible for the collection, management and utilization of archives. Documents and materials of preservation value formed by village-level organizations shall be standardized and filed in accordance with the requirements. No organization or individual may own or refuse to file them. The village-level archives work is supervised and guided by the township people's government, the competent archives administrative authorities, the competent civil affairs authorities, the competent agricultural authorities.
