Measures of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products.

These Measures are enacted in order to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products, maintain the health of the general public, and promote the development of agriculture and rural economy. The Text consists of 6 Chapters: Chapter I General Provisions; Chapter II Places of Origin of the Agricultural Products and Production Safety; Chapter III Packaging and Business Operation of Agricultural Products; Chapter IV Supervision and Inspection; Chapter V Legal Responsibility; Chapter VI Supplementary Provisions.
The governments at or above the county level shall establish and improve the safety monitoring and management system of places of origin of agricultural products. The agriculture competent authorities shall publish to the public the directories of agricultural inputs whose use is prohibited or restricted by the State. The use of organic fertilizers, microbial fertilizers, bio pesticides are encouraged. The agriculture competent authorities shall also supervise the implementation of agricultural product quality safety standard, and develop local production technology requirements and operational procedures according to the agricultural product quality and safety standards. Provisions on packages and marks of agricultural products are given in Chapter III.
