Measures of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for implementation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Floods.

These Measures aim to ensure the implementation of the Flood Control Law of the people's Republic of China in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Text consists of 40 Articles. Flood control planning shall be in consistence with the comprehensive planning of river basins and regions. The Measures provide for the requirements for preparation and approval of flood control planning. The people's governments at or above the county level shall, in the financial budget of the government at the corresponding level, arrange flood control funds, for the control and rescue of large disastrous floods and the rehabilitation of flood control engineering facilities damaged by such floods.
