Measures of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for the management and protection of water conservancy projects.

The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the management and protection of water conservancy projects, ensure the safety and normal operation thereof. The Measures consist of 29 articles.
Based on the importance of water conservancy projects and investors, the Measures set up management units of water conservancy projects and their main tasks, supervision and management responsibilities. Water administrative departments and basin administration agencies above the county (city) level shall organize the development of the basin water allocation and scheduling plans. The Measures further provide for the scope of the water conservancy project management and the scope of protection, water conservation project safety assessment, and offences and penalties, etc.
