Memorandum of Understanding between the General Administration of the State Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Thailand on strenthening SPS cooperation.

The purpose of the MoU is to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation on the implementation of the World Trade Organization Agreement on the Implementation of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS agreement), and to promote trade of animals and plants, animal and plant products (including fish and aquatic products). Animals and plants, animal and plant products which are exported from one party to the other party must be accompanied by an official inspection and quarantine certificate issued by the competent authority of the exporting country. The certificate shall be in accordance with the requirements of importing country. The two Parties shall jointly build up a traceability system of SPS problems and inform each other SPS issues in a timely manner. The validity of this Agreement is 5 years, renewable.
