Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of land and resources of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of geology, mineral resources and energy.

In order to promote the further cooperation of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the sphere of geology and mineral resources and energy, the Parties agreed to carry out cooperation in the fields of: evaluation and planning of energy resources; exploration and exploitation of mineral resources; evaluation and utilization of groundwater; the application of geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, experiment testing and remote sensing technology; basic geology (regional geological mapping); environmental research of mineral development; information exchange; and training.
