Abstract
This National Action Plan to Curb Microbial Resistance (2022-2025) is a multi-sectoral policy document. The overall goal is: By 2025, significant progress will have been made in the national governance system for microbial resistance, public health accomplishment, professional prevention and control capabilities, rational application of antimicrobial drugs, scientific research, and international exchange and cooperation.
The Action Plan has proposed 8 main tasks and specifies the responsible government agencies for each task. One is to prioritize prevention and reduce the incidence of infection. The second is to strengthen public health education and improve the level of drug resistance awareness. The third is to strengthen training and enhance the prevention and control capabilities of professional personnel. The fourth is to strengthen industry regulation and make rational use of antimicrobial drugs. Fifth, improve the monitoring and evaluation system to provide a basis for scientific decision-making. The sixth is to strengthen the supply guarantee of relevant drug devices. The seventh is to strengthen the scientific research and development of microbial resistance prevention and control. Eight is to conduct extensive international exchanges and cooperation.
