Notice by the State Council's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism on Responding to the New Coronavirus Infection Pneumonia regarding to further improving the prevention and control of pneumonia outbreaks caused by new coronavirus in rural areas.

This Notice is issued to further prevent and control the pneumonia epidemic situation of new coronavirus infection in rural areas.
Medical and health conditions in rural areas of China are weak, and the large number of migrant workers returning home during the Chinese Lunar New Year may increase the risk of outbreaks. The Notice requests the competent authorities to fully understand the importance and the urgency of doing a good job in the prevention and control of epidemics in rural areas, strengthen the integrated prevention and control both in rural and urban areas, and effectively meet the needs of materials, funds and so on for the prevention and control of rural epidemic. In addition, the Notice urges leisure agriculture and rural tourism operators to implement prevention and control responsibilities and measures to ensure the health and safety of tourists and their staff.
