Abstract
The State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (hereinafter referred to as AQSIQ) of the People's Republic of China and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery (hereinafter referred to as DAFF) of Australia agree that citrus fruits exported from Australia to China shall meet China plant quarantine laws and regulations, and meet the phytosanitary requirements specified in the Protocol. The citrus fruits may not contain quarantine pests concerned with the Chinese side. Under the supervision of DAFF, citrus orchards and packaging plants shall take effective pest monitoring, prevention and integrated pest management (IPM) measures, in order to prevent and control the occurrence of quarantine pests with which China is concerned, and to maintain the sanitary status of orchards and packaging plants. The remaining Articles make provision, inter alia, for monitoring system, processing, labeling and packaging of citrus fruits.
