Regulation of Guangdong Provinceon on Emergency Response.

This Regulation aims to ensure a coordinated and effective response to emergencies, protect the well-being of citizens, and minimize the impact of sudden events on society. The Regulation consists of 8 Chpaters: General provisions; Prevention and emergency preparedness; Monitoring and early warning; Emergency response and rescue; Post recovery and reconstruction; Evaluation and assessment; Legal liability; Supplementary provisions.
The term "emergency" referred to in these regulations means natural disasters, accidents, public health incidents, and social security incidents that occur suddenly and cause or may cause serious social harm, requiring emergency response measures to be taken.
The Regulation prohibits the spread of false information related to emergencies and stresses the need for accurate and timely updates on the situation and emergency response efforts. In the event of a sudden incident, the government must provide basic necessities such as food, water, medical care, and shelter to those affected by the emergency. The Regulation also addresses the coordination of emergency transportation, price regulation, financial support simplification, the establishment of temporary resettlement sites for displaced individuals.
