Abstract
These Regulations are enacted to strengthen the protection and management of the Hulun Lake National Nature Reserve, maintain its ecological functions and biodiversity, and promote coordinated economic and social development. The Text consists of 5 Chapters: General provisions (I); Planning and protection (II); Utilization and management (III); Legal liabilities (IV); Supplementary provisions (V).
The administration of the protected area shall prepare the overall plan for the protected area and submit it for approval in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the State. The protected area is divided into core zone, buffer zone and experimental zone. The scope and boundaries are subject to the approval of the State Council. The remaining articles of these Regulations make provision, inter alia, for the compensation for protection of the wild lives, the activities or projects which are forbidden in the reserve, the measures to be taken for protection, supervision and inspection, offences and penalties.
