Regulations of Jiangsu province on protection of the contracted manegement right of rural Land.

The purpose of these Regulations is to stabilize and improve the contracted management system of rural land, and effectively protect the rights and interests of farmers', and promote the development of agriculture, rural economy and rural social stability. The Text consists of 42 articles divided into 6 Chapters: General provisions (I); Establishment of contracted management rights of rural land (II); Circulation of contracted management rights of rural land (III); Protection of contracting households’ interest and rights upon termination of land contract (IV); Settlement of disputes and legal responsibility (V); Supplementary provisions (VI).
A member of a rural collective economic organization is entitled to contract the land of such rural collective economic organization in accordance with the law. Women enjoy equal rights with men on contracting of rural land. The contracted management right of rural land obtained through household contracting shall be protected by law.
