Regulations of Liaoning Province on quality and safety management of livestock and poultry products.

The purpose of these Regulations is to guarantee the quality and safety of livestock and poultry products, maintaining the health of the general public, and promote the healthy development of animal husbandry. The Text consists of 45 Articles divided into 7 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Livestock and Poultry Breeding (II); Livestock and Poultry Acquisition (III); Livestock and Poultry Slaughtering and Product Storage and Transportation (IV); Supervision and Management (V); Legal Liabilities (VI); Supplementary Provisions (VII).
Livestock and poultry products as mentioned in these Regulations refer to the livestock and poultry artificially bred for food and their primary products. Animal husbandry and veterinary authorities shall promote the construction of livestock and poultry product quality and safety traceability management systems. Enterprises and individuals engaged in animal husbandry, acquisitions, slaughter and storage, transportation activities, shall develop and implement such systems and ensure product quality and safety traceability. Livestock and poultry farms shall establish archives of livestock and poultry breeding. Breeding areas, breeding specialized households shall establish complete, true records on veterinary drugs, feeds, feed additives. Livestock and poultry slaughtering plants shall check the quarantine certificates and the labels of livestock and poultry when they enter the slaughtering plants. Remaining provisions are supervision and inspection, offences and penalties.
