Regulations of Ningxia Hui Autonooumous Region on water source protection areas of Jing river.

These Regulations, consisting of 23 Articles, aim to strengthen water source protection of the Jing River, utilize the water resources rationally, and maintain the ecological environment.
The drinking water source protection plan shall be formulated and the protected areas of the drinking water source shall be delineated by the government of Guyuan city. The activities which are forbidden in drinking water source protected areas are provided for in Article 9. The ecological protection compensation system, water quality monitoring information and safety evaluation system shall be established for drinking water sources. Other provisions cover, inter alia, the measures for supervision and administration, penalties to be applied in case of violation.
