Regulationsof Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Border Management.

These Regulations are enacted to strengthen border management, safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, maintain security and stability in border areas, and promote economic and social development in border areas.
The Regulations consist of 5 Chapters: General Provisions; Border management; Border Area Management; Legal Liabilities; Supplementary Provisions.
Persons entering and leaving the country, their luggage and articles, means of transportation, and cargo carried shall pass through designated ports of the state or temporary transit corridors agreed with neighboring countries, and shall be subject to entry and exit inspection, quarantine, and inspection in accordance with state regulations. When grazing in the border areas, people should follow the herd to prevent livestock from crossing the border. If livestock cross into the territory of neighboring countries, it shall be reported to the local public security border protection agency in time. The individuals shall not cross the border to catch up with it. For the livestock returned by neighboring countries, it shall be received by the Public Security Border Protection Agency, and after quarantine by the animal husbandry department, it shall be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations.
The relevant competent authorities shall strictly control the production operations in the border management areas that are subject to approval according to law, such as exploration, mining, logging, drug harvesting, fishing, blasting, etc., and solicit the opinions of the public security border defense agencies when approving.
