Convention on the Determination of the Minimal Conditions for Access and Exploitation of Marine Resources within the Maritime Areas under Jurisdiction of the Member States of the Sub-Regional Fisheries Commission (CRFC).

This Convention applies to the maritime area under jurisdiction of the Sub-Regional Fisheries Commission Member States. The objective is to review the provisions of the Convention of 14 July 1993 on the Detem1ination of Conditions for Access and Exploitation of Marine Resources.
Any Member State may, in conformity with international law, authorize access by fishing vessels belonging to non-Member States to the allowable surplus of resources in the maritime areas under its jurisdiction through agreements and other arrangements.Those agreements and related arrangements shall contain clauses on the adaptation to the allowed fishing effort according to the availability of resources, and in line with the principles of precautionary and the ecosystem-based approach.
