Decree-Law No. 12/96 creating the National Committee for Food Security (CNASA).

This Decree-Law, consisting of 13 articles, creates the National Committee for Food Security (CNASA). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution aiming at: analysing the food and nutritional situation of the country; collecting and treating all information related to agricultural, food and nutritional situation; assessing the Government in making decision and giving directives on the food security domain; giving advice on aspects related to the implementation of the policy on food security and inform the Government on the food security situation of the country.
