Abstract
This Decree-Law approves the Statutes of the Ministry of Tourism, Transport and Sea. It consists of 2 chapters and 1 table specifying composition, duties and competencies of the aforementioned institution, whose main objectives are the management and control of harbours for fishing activity; marine fisheries resources exploitation; maritime navigation and transport, etc. according to the provisions established in order to protect the environmental sector. A research programme for promoting and managing the fisheries sector is specified in the text.
