Decree-Law No. 54/2024 regulating the National Investment System.

This Decree-Law regulates the National Investment System (SNI), establishing principles, procedures, rules, and technical standards related to the various phases of investment programs and projects. This law applies to all public sector entities, under the terms set forth in the National Planning System guidelines. The fundamental guiding principles of public investment are: a) Resilience to climate risks and disasters; b) Economic and social benefits; c) Environmental and social sustainability; d) Economy; e) Effectiveness; f) Efficiency; g) Employability; and h) Transparency.
