Abstract
This Decree approves and implements the Protocol establishing the fishery activity of EU fishing vessels within the waters of Cape Verde signed in Brussels on 27 July 2011. The Protocol, consisting of 10 Chapters and 4 Appendixes establishes the requirements to be satisfied by foreign fishing vessels in order to perform fishing activity within the waters under Cape-verdean jurisdiction and is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Fishing authorization (Chap. II); Technical measures (Chap. III); Declaration of captures (Chap. IV); Transhipment and Landing (Chap. V); Inspection (Chap. VI); Satellite monitoring system (Chap. VII); Infractions (Chap. VIII); Vessels’ crew (Chap. IX); Observers from Cape Verde (Chap. X). Appendixes deal with the fishing techniques forms.
