Abstract
This Decree approves the Statute regulating the National Institution for Territorial Management (INGT). The above mentioned Statute (in Annex), consisting of 42 articles divided into seven Chapters and one Annex, specifies competencies, composition and duties of the above mentioned Governmental body, entitled to contribute to the sustainable growth and development of Cape Verde. The Statute defines its mission and duties and regulates the management administrative, financial, human resources, etc. Its mission aims to pursue, at national level, public policies in the following areas: land use planning and urban planning; land registry; cartography and geodesy and Territorial Data Infrastructures of Cape Verde (IDE-CV). INGT also has the mission of creating databases related to this sector, aiming at offering a balanced portfolio and creating value for the public and private sector, thus contributing to growth and sustainable development of Cape Verde.

This Decree enters into force on the day after its publication.
