Decree No. 22/83 creating an Interministerial Consultance Committee for the Agricultural Use of Pesticides.

This Decree creates the Interministerial Consultance Committee for the agricultural use of pesticides under the Ministry of Rural Development. In compliance with article 77 of the Constitution of Cape Verde, the Committee may give its opinion on pesticides for agricultural use by proposing toxicological classifications, safety intervals (the period which should elapse between the last application of the product and harvest), conditions for use of such pesticides, etc. The President of this Committee is the Director of the Plant Production and Protection Service, but when human protection is concerned, the President of such Committee shall be the General Director of the Ministry of Health (art. 3).
