Decree No. 34/79 creating the Public Corporation for Agriculture and Livestock (FAP "Empresa Pública de Fomento Agro-Pecuário").

In compliance with the Law on the Political Organization of the Country of 5 July 1975 (art. 15, point 3), the Government creates the Public Corporation for Agriculture and Livestock (FAP "Empresa Pública de Fomento Agro-Pecuário"), by approving its constitution. The FAP is under the supervision of the Ministry of Rural Development. Its purpose is the production and selling of agricultural and livestock products. The constitution is divided into 10 chapters dealing with management, its duties, competencies and aims.
