Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 9 articles and two Annexes, regulates the criteria and parameters for monitoring the quality of irrigation water, including surface or underground water, desalinated water, recovered rainwater or treated wastewater. It aims at meeting or complementing the water needs of agricultural crops, forests, ornamental, nurseries, lawns and other green spaces, prior to the addition of fertilizer. Waters of superficial origin include those obtained from reservoirs, lakes and streams. Waters of underground origin include those obtained from boreholes, springs or wells. Treated rainwater include water collected from rainfall or runoff, as well as treated wastewater, from water produced in accordance with the rules on the collection and treatment of wastewater. In addition, for irrigation purposes it can be used as well desalinated waters produced in accordance with the standards relating to the desalination of sea water and brackish water from saline wells and boreholes.
