Decree no. 6/2010 approving the Loan Agreement, called the West African Regional Fisheries Programme.

This Decree approves the Loan Agreement, known as the West African Regional Fisheries Programme, signed on 2 December 2009, between the Government of Cape Verde and the International Development Association, aimed at financing the Project to strengthen the governance and management capacity of focused fisheries, reduce illegal fishing and increase the added value of fisheries products. The Association agrees to extend to the Recipient, on the terms and conditions set forth or referred to in this Agreement, a credit in an amount equivalent to Special Drawing Rights (SDR) 3,900,000 (variously, “Credit” and “Financing”) to assist in financing the project described in Schedule 1 to this Agreement. The Recipient may withdraw the proceeds of the Financing in accordance with Section IV of Schedule 2 to this Agreement. The Maximum Commitment Charge Rate payable by the Recipient on the Unwithdrawn Financing Balance shall be 1/2 of 1% per annum. The Service Charge payable by the Recipient on the Withdrawn Credit Balance shall be equal to 3/4 of 1% per annum. The Payment Dates are May 15 and November 15 in each year. The principal amount of the Credit shall be repaid in accordance with the repayment schedule set forth in Schedule 3 to this Agreement. The Payment Currency is the Dollar.
