Decree No. 7/2022 approving the Administrative Agreement for the Application of the Convention on Social Security between the Republic of Cape Verde and the Republic of Portugal.

This Decree approves the Administrative Agreement for the Application of the Convention on Social Security between the Republic of Cape Verde and the Republic of Portugal, signed, in Praia, on 20 September 2018. The Decree aims at regulating the application of the provisions of the agreement regarding the determination of the applicable legislation, as well as the application of the provisions of the agreement regarding the different categories of benefits. The Agreement, consisting of 48 articles divided into four Chapters, is seen as an instrument of great importance in the implementation of the commitments assumed by the Parties, under the Social Security Convention of April 2001 which was revised in December 2012. It replaces, under the terms of paragraph 2 of its article 48, the Administrative Agreement on the modalities of application of the Convention on Social Security between the two countries of 25 July 2007.
