Abstract
This Order, consisting of 6 articles, establishes, due to the risk of spreading African Swine Fever (PSA), the circulation and transport of pigs, their meat and derivatives is prohibited as follows: a) From the islands of Fogo, Santiago, Maio and Boavista to the other islands in the country; b) From zones of outbreaks to other zones, the owners of the animals must keep them in closed fences. For the purposes of the previous provisions it is incumbent upon the Veterinary Authority: a) prevent, even through the intervention of the police authorities, the prohibited transport; b) order, if necessary, the seizure and slaughter of infected pigs or pigs suspected of being PSA carriers and the destruction of meat and meat products whose circulation is prohibited by the provisions of article 1.
