Abstract
This Order establishes Technical Norms for the Characterization of Urban Waste. The aim of this Order is to regulate and classify all kind of Waste, according to its source, into: a) Urban waste, RU or MSW: waste from households, namely: «Green waste»: waste from cleaning and maintaining gardens, public green spaces, etc.; «Waste from commercial activity»: waste produced by one or more commercial establishments which, by their nature or composition, are similar to waste from households; «Wastes from industrial activity»; «Waste from service activities»: waste similar to waste from households; «Waste from hospital activity»; «Waste from agricultural activity»: waste from agricultural or livestock farming. Waste is classified, according to its hazard, into: «Hazardous waste»: «Non-hazardous waste»: waste that does not have the characteristics of hazardous waste due to its safety for human health or the environment; and «Inert waste»: waste that does not undergo physical changes.
