Order No. 36/2022 publishing the list of species subject to aquaculture activity in Cape Verde.

This Order publishes the lays down the list of species that may be subject to aquaculture activity in Cape Verde. It applies to all natural or legal persons who carry out aquaculture activity and to the respective aquaculture production establishments located on land and in the maritime areas of Cape Verde, including inland waters, and also to related establishments, located on private property, in the private and public domain of the State or local authorities. The cultivation of aquaculture and mariculture species that are not included in this list is expressly prohibited. This Order may be revised whenever necessary, once the principles of economic viability, environmental sustainability and social justice are safeguarded.
