Abstract
This Phytosanitary Agreement between the Republic of Cape Verde and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau was signed on 19 July 2015 in Bissau. This Agreement aims at establishing a regime and harmonized phytosanitary conditions applied to trade in plants and plant products between the parties, facilitating the implementation of the Trade Agreement (December 1995) signed between the two countries. This Agreement applies to all importers who professionally wish to enter in the territory of the Republic of Cape Verde and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, vegetables and/or vegetable products from one of the two countries; Vegetables and/or vegetable products objects of this Agreement are intended solely for consumption and/or processing and may not be used, under any circumstances, for the purpose of direct or intentional introduction into the environment for reproductive purposes.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement shall enter into force 30 days after written notice of reciprocal compliance with the internal procedures of each Party (under the terms and for the purposes of article XI).
