Resolution No. 11/2015 approving the Implementation Plan for the legal framework on the production of grog.

This Resolution approves the Implementation Plan for the legal framework on the production of sugar cane liquor, commonly referred to as grog. This Plan, consisting of two sections, is aligned with Decree-Law No. 11/2015. The Plan establishes the Regularization of the production units of sugar cane liquor through the licensing of the activity, which allows and facilitates the monitoring, control and supervision of the units, especially during the phase of adaptation to the legislation of production and commercialization of the grog. Only regulated units will be able to carry out production activities in 2019. The regularization must be carried out based on the criteria defined below: Technical base to support regularization: Inspection of units by the DNICE/ARFA/CM team, registration of units, Industrial cadastre. Period of regularization: from August 2018 to December 2018, before the start of the next production season; Responsible authority: National Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Energy; and Execution of the licensing: considering the difficulties of some units, the licensing can be facilitated, within the norms, with the support of the Industry Service Directorate.
