Abstract
This Resolution establishes composition, competence and functioning of the National Trade Commission (CNC). CNC is an inter-institutional body aimed at coordinating, consulting and proposing national trade policy, as well as preparing participation in bilateral, regional and international trade negotiations chaired by the member of the Government responsible for the Trade area. In particular, the CNC is responsible for defining, implementing, articulating and coordinating Cape Verde's trade policy, at domestic, regional and international level, namely within the framework of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the African Union and its Agreement on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and monitoring the implementation of decisions arising from these at national level.
