This Resolution No. 124/X/2023 establishing an Inquiry Parliamentary Commission on the Management of the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism and the Environment Fund, with investigative powers from the judicial authorities and assistance from the criminal police. In particular, the objects of the inquiry are: a) Determine to what extent the new project financing regime impacted the Management of the Environment Fund; b) Investigate the extent to which the Investment Directives for the environment and tourism investment were complied with; c) Investigate compliance with the recommendations of the Management Accounts Verification Reports of the Environment and Tourism Fund; d) Find out how the financing system for investments in the environment and tourism works; e) Find out which projects are financed; f) Investigate on the monitoring and evaluation of financing projects; g) Investigate the responsibility of the entities responsible for applying the Tourism and the Environment Fund; h) Investigate on contracts; i) Investigate whether the rules and principles of public law contracts have been violated; j) Find out the amount of municipal projects financed by the Environment and Tourism Fund; l) Find out how the monitoring and evaluation of financing projects promoted by the Tourism Fund and the Environment Fund have been going on, etc.
