Abstract
This Resolution authorizes the free distribution of milk powder to school canteens of the municipalities of Porto Novo, Santa Cruz, Ribeira Grande de Santiago and São Domingos, and the distribution of dehydrated soups to all Cape Verde municipalities. In the context of cooperation agreements between the governments of Portugal and Brazil and Cape Verde, food aid were available to reinforce the supply of first-need food products, consisting of supply of tons of powdered milk and dehydrated soups. The aforementioned food aids should be destined to reinforce school feeding, the schools of the municipalities of Porto Novo, Santa Cruz, Ribeira Grande de Santiago and São Domingos. These are the municipalities that, according to the latest data from the Harmonized Framework, of March 2022, a consensual instrument that estimates the population in a situation of food insecurity, are the ones that have the highest prevalence of population in food crisis. In this sense, the government determines the free distribution of powdered milk to the school canteens of the mentioned municipalities and the distribution of dehydrated soups to all Cape Verde municipalities.
