Resolution No. 20/2010 approving the Management Plan of the Fogo Natural Park, within the island of Fogo.

This Resolution approves the Management Plan of the Fogo Natural Park, within the island of Fogo, which main objectives are: conservation and valorisation of the natural, architectonic and ethnographic heritage, through a correct environmental planning, according to the potentiality of each zone and taking into consideration the following aspects: biodiversity preservation and the sustainable use of natural resources; control of the soil erosion in order to protect geological and natural resources of “Pico do Fogo” area; support traditional human activities, strengthening their economic development and improving the well-being of local populations; valorize and preserve endangered flora and fauna species; guarantee the conservation of endangered habitats, in particular local bush habitats; manage and regulate any touristic and recreational activity in order to prevent environmental degradation, etc.
