Resolution No. 26/2023 approving the recovery measures for the areas and agricultural activities affected by the forest fire in the Serra da Malagueta Natural Park and in neighboring areas.

This Resolution approves the recovery measures for the areas and agricultural activities affected by the forest fire in the Serra da Malagueta Natural Park and in neighboring areas. These measures consist of: a) Support for families affected by the forest fire, especially in the recovery of corrals/styes, replacement of animals and their food; b) Recovery of burnt areas, through cleaning and removal of burned material and invasive plants and construction of anti-erosion devices; c) Sowing of pasture and planting of endemic species; d) Protection of endemic birds and their nests; e) Cleaning and maintenance/reconstruction of side paths; and f) Training and awareness raising on forest fire prevention measures.
