Abstract
This Resolution approves the Tourism Operational Programme (POT) for 2022-2026. This Programme, consisting of seven Sections, regulates matters associated with tourism in Cape Verde, the objectives of effect and impact of the POT, as well as the structure, and the main conclusions and implementation challenges. The POT has a national scope and its compliance is mandatory in the public sector. Since tourism is a transversal sector, the logic of intervention of the POT is multisectoral and interferes in several other sectors that are fundamental for the structuring of the country's tourist product, such as Territorial Planning, Environment, Culture, Infrastructures and Local Power. It is structured in 5 sub-programmes and 24 types of projects. In terms of implementation challenges, 4 main aspects can be pointed out, as follows: 1. Intersectoral coordination and governance; 2. Mobilization of domestic funding and international cooperation; 3. Monitoring and evaluation mechanism by the DNP; 4. Commitment to goals Culture of accountability.
