Resolution No. 43/X/2022 ratifying the Arusha Protocol for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants.

This Resolution ratifies for accession, the Arusha Protocol on the Protection of New Varieties of Plants, adopted in Tanzania, (Arusha), on 6 July 2015. The Protocol aims at regulating the generalities, the conditions for granting the breeder's right, the application for granting of the breeder's right, publication of information, examination for the granting of the breeder's right, as well as the breeder's rights, variety designation, cancellation and granting of the breeder's right, licensing, as well as the assignment and transfer of application or creator's right, fees, appeal and enforcement procedures.
