Resolution No. 45/2024 delegating to the National Directorate for Maritime Policy (DNPM) the State's power of supervision under the contract for the public service of inter-island maritime transport.

This Resolution, takes into account the provisions of the concession for the operation of the public inter-island maritime transport service, approved by Decree-Law No. 16/2015 of 10 March. It consists of supervising the way in which the concession contract is carried out, as to be able to determine the necessary corrections and apply the appropriate sanctions. Monitoring may be carried out by inspecting premises, equipment, documentation, computer records and accounts or by requesting information, without prejudice to the provisions on professional or commercial areas and the regime applicable to other information protected by law. The inspections carried out must be recorded in records, reports or other books.
