Resolution No. 62/2024 approving the Communication and Marketing Plan for the Biosphere Reserves of the islands of Fogo and Maio.

This Resolution approves the Communication and Marketing Plan for the Biosphere Reserves of the islands of Fogo and Maio. This Plan aims mainly at prioritizing to increase knowledge and awareness, and consequently the commitment of local communities and the Cape Verdean population in general, with regard to UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. This recognition, based on the idea of the Biosphere Reserve as an instrument for valorizing the territory, requires greater general knowledge on the part of the population of the concept and opportunities associated with Biosphere Reserves. On a second level, the communication strategy strategy emphasizes the role of biosphere reserves as vehicles for the international context, within the framework of the nature conservation and sustainable development agenda.
