Resolution No. 7/2021 approving the Programme for the tourist and environmental enhancement of rural villages.

This Resolution approves the Programme for the tourist and environmental enhancement of rural villages. This Programme, consisting of nine Sections and one Table, aims at diversifying the tourism offer, improving basic sanitation and increasing the income and quality of life of the population in rural areas, focusing on rural villages on the islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau, Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava. The programme's interventions include: improving cultural heritage, landscape arrangement of the surrounding rural spaces, among others, paths, panorama viewpoints, rehabilitation of houses and their framing in the landscape, among others, facades, bathrooms, promotion of tourist activity, among others, pedestrian circuits, signage, interpretive centers, awareness and environmental education, etc.
