Resolution No. 7/2021 approving the tourist and environmental enhancement programme for rural villages.

This Resolution approves the tourist and environmental enhancement programme for rural villages. This Programme, consisting of nine Sections and one Table, aims to diversify the tourist offer, to improve basic sanitation and to increase the income and the quality of life of the population in rural areas. The Programme applies on national level and focuses on rural villages on the islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau, Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava. Interventions include the improvement of: rural areas, back roads, corrals, viewpoints, housing rehabilitation and its framing in the landscape, facades, promotion of tourist activity, pedestrian circuits, signals, translation centres, awareness and environmental education, among others.
