Abstract
This Act, which is composed of 20 articles, lays down the legislative framework on keeping wild animals in zoos. It sets out provisions on requirements to be met to obtain the licence to run zoos and regulates the issue procedure. Further provisions deal with conditions for granting subsidies from the national budget and other public sources to holders of zoos. The Act specifies the penalties to be applied in case of infringement.
