Act No. 249/2025 on the acceleration of the use of renewable energy sources.

The main aim of this Act is to accelerate the development and utilization of renewable energy sources. The Act establishes a framework for identifying and regulating specific areas designated for renewable energy development. It introduces the concept of acceleration zones which are special territories aimed at speeding up the construction and deployment of renewable energy facilities, including the types of primary energy sources used there. The present Act sets procedures and criteria for permitting projects within these zones, streamlining processes to facilitate faster development of renewable energy infrastructure across the Czech Republic.
