Abstract
This Act, which is composed of ten articles, lays down some special procedures for the preparation, construction and operation of a deep repository for radioactive waste. A deep repository is a nuclear facility used for the permanent storage of radioactive waste at a depth of at least 300 m below the earth's surface so that its location meets the nuclear safety conditions for the storage of high-level waste. For determining of a deep storage location the Administration of Radioactive Waste Repositories shall submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade a proposal for the main and back-up location of the deep repository together with a decision on the determination of the exploration area for special intervention in the earth's crust the subject of which is the deep repository. The proposal for selecting the location of the deep repository contains justification and calculation of contributions from the nuclear account.
