Decree on hygiene requirements for products intended to come into contact with foodstuffs and food.

This Decree of the Ministry of Health, which is composed of 26 articles and 14 Annexes, establishes hygiene requirements for products that are in their finished state intended to come into contact with foodstuffs or food, or which are in contact with foodstuffs or food and are intended for that purpose. This Decree does not apply to products that are the subject of archaeological and ethnographic interest of collectors, objects of artistic interest which are not intended to come into contact with foodstuffs or food, and antiques, which means products for which more 100 years have passed from the production. This Decree does not apply to coatings and surface treatments, which are part of foodstuffs and may be consumed together with these foodstuffs such as substances covering cheese rinds, prepared meat products or fruits.
