Abstract
This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture sets out detailed provisions to implement the Ecological Agriculture Act. It specifies the animal species that may be bred through ecological methods (cattle, equines, swines, sheep, goats, rabbits, poultry, fishes and Central European ecotypes of bees Appis mellifera). Moreover, as regards cultivation of plants, it establishes that the following may be used in ecological agriculture: barnyard, fertilizers, subsidiary soil substances, subsidiary plant preparations and substrates established by specific provisions and specified in Annex 3. The Decree is composed of the following Sections: (1) General provisions; (2) Cultivation of plants; (3) General provisions concerning breeding of selected animals; (4) Requirements for breeding selected animals; (5) Food production; (6) Certification, marking, transport and registration; (7) Final provisions.
